Discovering the Magnificent Beauty of Mardi Himal Base Camp

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will be there to greet you. After completing immigration formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can unwind and relax after your journey.

Spend the day in Kathmandu preparing for your upcoming trek. In the morning, attend an introduction program to meet your guide, company staff, and fellow travelers, and receive essential trek information. Use the rest of the day to organize your gear and gadgets, with assistance available for purchasing or renting any necessary equipment. Enjoy a relaxing evening exploring Kathmandu's cultural sites before the adventure begins.

Set off on a picturesque drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a charming lakeside city nestled beneath the Annapurna range. Upon reaching, settle into your hotel and unwind by the serene lakeside.

Your journey to Mardi Himal Base Camp begins with an early morning drive from Pokhara to Kande, where your trek starts. Hike through forests and small villages for 2-3 hours to reach Pothana, enjoying views of the Annapurna Range. Continue trekking for 4-5 hours through rhododendron forests to Deurali, where you’ll spend the night in a teahouse, resting and preparing for the next day.

From Pitam Deurali, you’ll leave the main Annapurna trail and start climbing into a dense Rhododendron forest. This ancient path was once used by shepherds to bring their animals to higher pastures during the summer monsoon. As you hike, you'll follow the ridge of the forest, with gentle ascents and occasional descents, through a peaceful and serene natural setting. Upon reaching Forest Camp, you'll find the lodge nestled in the heart of the forest, offering a tranquil retreat where you’ll stay and rest for the night.

You’ll continue your journey towards High Camp. The trail gradually ascends, and as you gain elevation, the landscape begins to change, with alpine meadows replacing the dense forests. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and the valleys below. After a few hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at High Camp, where you’ll spend the night. Take some time to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the stunning sunset over the mountains.

We'll rise early at 3:40 AM and set out on our hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp by 4 AM, carrying only a daypack. The trail ahead is steep and demanding, but the breathtaking views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and other majestic peaks will reward your efforts. After reaching the base camp, we'll return to High Camp for a well-deserved lunch. Following lunch, we’ll descend to the picturesque Badal Danda, a peaceful 1.5-hour trek away. Here, we’ll settle in for the night at a cozy teahouse, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

As we leave Badal Danda, our journey takes a new turn towards Sidhing, guiding us through dense forests nestled at the base of Mt. Machhapuchhre. The descent grows steeper and more challenging, with the trail becoming slippery underfoot, demanding careful steps. After about five hours of navigating this rugged path, we finally reach Sidhing, where a jeep awaits to whisk us back to the comforts of Pokhara. Our night’s rest will be at a welcoming lodge in the scenic Lakeside area, offering a perfect end to our adventurous day.
